I followed up with an inaccessible platform report to Dan Shannon at TextHelp too. Here's the response I got from him:
I suggest we as a group keep putting the pressure on TH to change their webinar delivery platforms. They're not SO terribly mired in bureaucracy that they cannot flex to a new, accessible platform for their webinars.

Thanks for getting in touch. I was not able to enjoy the OrbitNote webinar. I am blind and use a screen reader, JAWS. The GoTo Meeting platform is totally inaccessible with a screen reader, at least in the Windows environment. I’ve heard, via a listserv that I subscribe to, that a number of other blind users weren’t able to access the webinar. I did finally catch the last 10 minutes of the webinar by logging in on my iMac.
Dan, I think a company like Texthelp should not be using inaccessible platforms like GoTo Meeting for their presentations. I hope you agree and will let the powers that be know about this issue. One person on the listserv said that his company approached the GoTo Meeting people several years ago to let them know that their platform was not accessible, and was told that they were aware of the problem, but that the program was developed before they “knew/cared about accessibility, that it would be expensive to fix it, and that they had no intentions of doing so”.
I sincerely hope Texthelp will stop using GoTo Meeting as their platform for delivering webinars.
