Heather,
For students who need something other than “relaxing sounds” to use in the
exercises, consider using visual sound waves that students can control
through biofeedback. The more relaxed one becomes, the longer and lower the
sound waves. This technique uses a skin sensor & biofeedback to control the
sound waves (https://choosemuse.com/)
Also consider using haptic feedback. There are a couple of apps called Lull
and Thrum
It might be a good idea to seek out someone in your area that teaches
meditation using biofeedback to explore what techniques can be adapted for
use for students with disabilities.
