We'd like to announce an opening for an undergraduate student as our
2022-2023 Resilience and Compassion Seed Grant Coordinator!





The <https://wellbeing.uw.edu/unit/resilience-lab/> UW Resilience Lab is at
the helm of promoting mental health and well-being at the University of
Washington through education, research partnerships, and a range of programs
and initiatives. We work to cultivate a compassionate community, where the
holistic well-being of students, staff and faculty is engaged from awareness
to action.





Our goals are to support UW students in becoming change-makers on campus, to
provide students, staff, and instructors with individual resilience skills,
and advocate for policies and systemic changes that promote a more resilient
and compassionate campus culture.

Program Description:



In partnership with the <https://csf.uw.edu/> Campus Sustainability Fund,
the Resilience Lab awards Seed Grants to support resilience and
compassion-building initiatives that foster connection and community. These
small grants support students, staff, and faculty in the creation of
impactful activities, programs, projects, and/or research throughout the
Husky community.

Position Description:

The Seed Grant Coordinator supports projects approved for the 2022-2023
academic year with. This includes tracking budgets, providing technical
assistance, promoting projects via online platforms, and convening regular
meetings for project leads.

The Coordinator also oversees the 2023-2024 Seed Grant application process,
promoting the application cycle, managing application review and section,
and working with other Resilience Lab members to encourage the smooth
transition of project funds.

Hours: 14 hours/week (154 hours/quarter)

Compensation: $17.27/hour

Duration: 2022-2023 Academic Year

Location: Virtual/Remote, with occasional on-campus requirements

Supervisor: Megan Kennedy, Director - UW Resilience Lab

Required Qualifications:

We are seeking applications from undergraduate students who fully embrace

* Full-time undergraduate student at the University of Washington -
Seattle
* Interest in building resilient and compassionate communities
* Experience in grant writing and budget maintenance
* Work well both as a team member and independently
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
