[eOutage] Unable to reach some UW telephone numbers from outside lines

[UW Information Technology's email notification service regarding widespread outages]

    UW-IT Telecom is aware of an issue impacting inbound calls to campus
   206-543 and 206-616 numbers that began at approximately 3:40 pm on
   07/26/23.
   .
   Users are reporting issues trying to reach campus phone lines using
   non-campus phones. Currently identified 543 and 616 numbers. The issues
   are described as "one-way outbound audio,"; callers can hear UW phone
   service users, but UW phone service users cannot hear callers. UW-IT
   Telecom engineers are aware of the incident and actively responding.
   .
   The issue seems to have resolved on its own but we are actively
   monitoring for telecom stability.
   Next update will be provided at 5:30 pm.

   The only known workaround at this time is to call using a campus phone.
